Another of my 8 string guitars has a 26.5" scale and sounds incredibly dark. I put this set on and it sounds amazing now. Very bright sound. Brought my guitar in from the darkness.

.One of my favorite prog artists uses extra lights on her 8's so I bought a pack of these to try out. They work great. I'd say the thing about them is that at these gauges, your erg feels more like a regular guitar. The tension is pretty low and you get more responsiveness out of your low end. (Trades out speed for timber the note is there but not so much on the growls.) I also found they sound pretty good on acoustic 8 (agile) but don't have the same projection as bronzes. Works great for rock and prog, you're gonna want a heavier set for Djent and death metal.
