I play a Peavey bass guitar, and have tried several brands of strings. Have not been real satisfied with sound or longevity for our church praise band. Tried these strings since they are Peavey, hoping they'd be a better tone for my guitar. Thus far.... excellent! If they have life to them, my search is over.

.I play these on my 5 as well as my 4 string. I've never broken one of these strings. I've had these on sense I got my 5 string almost 9 months ago. I love them, they play well and sound great. They last forever, too. Awesome for anybody, but even better for the underground or not so well funded musician.

.I play a Peavey Cirrus 5 string Bass (Claro Walnut) and, of course, the stock strings are the Peavey Cirrus strings. These things sound like a new piano when first put on. They are pure sounding, bright, punchy, and the low B is clear, not muddy. They last a long time if you keep them clean.

.I've been using Cirrus 5 string sets on both my older Peavey Dyna-Bass five string and the Grind passive I got last year and they sound great, last long, don't eat the frets, and I don't have to get a bank loan to purchase them...what's not to like.

.I have been playing bass for 16 years - weekly gigs plus rehearsals style rock, pop, praise & worship - and have been using these strings exclusively for about the last 5 years. Have tried others including much more expensive (Elixir Nano for example, Ernie Ball full and half-round) and these are far superior both for sound quality and playability. They have an inherently bright sound with a definite attack but when I want to tame that for a particular song I just turn the mid and high tone down and they come across very smooth and warm. With my fretted bass these strings can produce a distinctive pitch change on each fret or be very smooth depending on how much pressure I use in a slide. I haven't had that option with any other string.
Only problem is they can be hard to find in stores so I was glad to see them available at MF.

.Surprised to see that Peavey has changed the design of these strings after all these years. They no longer have the fabric wrap on the ends and the tuner side is not as tapered as in the past. As a result they no longer fit inside the tuner (of my 2 Cirrus 5s) before making the right-angle bend.
