The Max 158 also features a 3 band EQ, chromatic tuner and 1/8" jacks for phones output and aux input. The Max 158 also includes patented Peavey DDT speaker protection.

Would not want to rely on it if playing in a larger venue but works just find in the basement with my Kala UBass. Everybody is always borrowing it, you can almost throw it in your glove compartment. Solid as a rock, lots of umpf for a little guy and hey. it's a Peavey, I have been using their products for years and have not let me down yet.

.I've had this amp a few years and never had a problem with it. I plug my basses and guitars into it as well as CD players and other things and it works just fine. I like the headphone feature for when I want to be discreet. I've owned other products from Peavey and it seems that everything they make sounds and works good.

.Getting back into playing bass after a much too long hiatus, this little amp does the trick. Sounds surprisingly good. Decent punch too.

.I keep this little amplifier in my bed room and practice when I feel like it. This little Peavey is inexpensive, portable and doesn't take up much space. My amp is six years old now and it has never broken down. This is a great product for students as well as every day working musicians.
