I started trying out & using nylon picks w/ grippers around 1989 - I was helping out another guitar player / friend & his band, & he used Dunlop 1.0 mm nylon picks (which I would "lift", then take home to try out on acoustics, as well as electrics). I liked them right away, except that the 1.0 mm was a little too thick. I remembered an interview that featured Jimmy Page saying he had used .88 mm Herco picks. That's how my long standing affair w/ Dunlop .88 mm nylons began.Later on in the 90's, I discovered Le Pik's arsenal of nylons - the design is offset, but there in lies what made them different, as well as ergonomical (I think that was their intent). I used those for 10 years or so, & then I had to make another switch when I found out Le Pik was going under. Around then was when I found Snarling Dog's Brain Picks - a dozen picks comes in a tin "stash box", one of which I keep on me at all times. They're alright nylon picks, but they wear & eventually, wear out.
Today, I'm back using Dunlop .88 mm picks, only now I'm strumming away using their MAX Grip picks, which are the bomb. They hardly wear, the nylon feels a little denser & the grip area is innovative in the world of nylon guitar picks. The search is over...until (!)

.Who would have thought I'd be reviewing a guitar pick? These things are so good, I can't NOT review them.
I like my picks thin to medium thin (I chose .73mm), and with the gauge choice's it was easy to figure out what I wanted. Most picks offer "Thin", "Medium", and "Heavy", well, Thin is too thin, and Medium is too heavy---these are gauged between .60mm to 1.5mm...just plain cool in my book (twice the choices with six gauges versus three).
I have been known to get jamming hard, and once in a while drop my pick...not with this one; excellent grip!
Dunlop; you keep making these picks. Custom Guitars Friend; you keep selling them. Me? I will keep buying them.
Not only would I recommend them to a friend...I already have. Great product.

.Have used the .73 & .88 for years. My only complaint.....Wish the color was other than dark grey . Hard to find if you drop them on the floor. The .60 is a bit lighter grey...but not much.

.The Max Grips are GREAT picks! I prefer the .60's for my short scale parlor guitars but, for my dreadnaught guitars I use the .73mm. You end up losing them before they wear out.

.Tried these just for the heck of it. I've been using medium Daddario picks for a long time, but needed something that wouldn't wear out after a set as I pick fairly hard. These are easy to hang on to and really last. I can do weeks of gigs and not have to grab a new one from the stand. They are a tiny bit softer than what I was using but I got used to them in no time and will order more if I can ever wear these out.

.All the pics I have tried slip from my fingers or have been too thin or too hard. These are just right and I have so many now, I don't have to worry if I misplace one!

.Dunlop nylon picks give off a very warm sound and the 88's are very versatle. I've got a pretty heavy right hand and 88's are Pliable enough for playing rhythm, yet thick enough for soloing. 'Max grip' makes them very easy to hold on to.

Great pick for bass playing. Love the extra gripping ability and the feel of this pick.Dunlop Nylon Max Grip Guitar Picks - 12-Pack 0.60 mm
.These are the only picks I've used that don't slip in your hand when your hand gets a little warm and sweaty. I just wish they were brightly colored. If you drop one on a dark colored floor, you have to look hard to fine it.

.I bought nylon picks in the thickness of 1.0, .88, and .73, to try out. Turns out I like the thinner ones for what I'm doing now, which is acoustic strumming/practice. But, the grip is the same on all of them, very good, they don't slip, which is what I wanted.
