This definitely was a surprise. I didn't expect much for under 2, but this thing is ready right out of the box. No joke. Yes, you will need a proper setup, yes, you will need heavier gauge strings, but other than that, this guitar is amazing for the price. Highly suggest this and the other models like it. I also suggest 65-10's for the string selection. Very lightweight basswood body with a very sleek matte neck with low action, just as a 7 should be. I've even owned Schecter guitars that haven't met this quality.. A truly great value. Even though it says "Crafted in China", Jackson put some effort into this line.
