You think you can swing 800 for this guitar? Beware, the pick ups are disappointing. You will need to spend another 200-300 for the correct pick ups to be happy. Jackson put in 30 Pick ups on a guitar that cost 800. Not cool. I felt like this was a bait and switch. They should offer this with no pickups for cheaper or with 81/85 setup for 979 or something like that. When I played this guitar, the output was so low, I thought the volume or tone was not up or the chord not pulled in all the way. I didn't think the pick ups were going to top of the line but I did expect better. Jackson should offer choices for pickups on every model. As for everything else, it played great. Best guitar I have played. It is a very nice guitar. Just as a warning... If your not willing to spend 1,100 on a guitar, don't buy this. I returned this guitar because I was not willing to spend another 300.Jackson X Series RRX7 7-string Electric Guitar Gloss Black
.First off, the jackson branded hard-shell case is not compatible with this model. But it truly is a great guitar. I've never had problems with a FR special or Duncan designed pickups. The bass may be a little loose for you, but you can always switch em out. I'm really glad Jackson got around to putting out a 25.5" scale pointy 7. It seems the time of the Djent is dying and extreme metal is making a comeback. Zero neck dive. Comfy neck. The bridge stays in tune if you know what you are doing. The pickups are really nice. Powerchords sound sick on the bridge pickup, but if you like a lot of open single notes, it's not the tightest. I did switch mine out for a Duncan fullshred set. I threw the Duncan designed in my js22-7 dkam and now I have 2 killer 7s.
