Fishman VT Powerbridge

The Fishman VT Powerbridge allows you to get acoustic guitar sound from your Tele-style guitars with vintage-style bridges. Ultrasensitive built-in saddle transducers sense the natural acoustic vibrations of a solidbody guitar, giving an authentic acoustic sound to the instrument. A supplied stereo output jack allows independent use of the saddle pickups or a blending with the guitar's regular pickups. All installation materials and instructions are included. I lead worship and one of the biggest obstacles is the lack of versatility of going straight acoustic or electric, which meant that if I was missing a guitarist I usually had to just use my acoustic and deal with not having an electric. I got this to solve that problem and solve it it did. I didn't get the preamp/smart jack that you can buy in addition to this because I was probably going to use my own pre and wouldn't really need to worry about stereo/mono stuff. Right now I'm using a stereo in to 2-mono out with one out going to my POD XT and one going to another volume pedal. This is an awesome setup and I've been using it for almost a year. I haven't had any problems with the pickup except for spotty connections every now and then, but I suspect that is due to bad soldering or other interference. It's got a great acoustic sound and now I don't have to sacrifice electric capabilities to achieve true acoustic tone. As for the review that said to just get an acoustic sim...simulators will never live up to actual acoustic tone and the only way to do that is with one of these type pickups.
