Fishman FT-2 Digital Chromatic Clip-on Tuner

The Fishman FT-2 digital chromatic tuner provides quick and accurate tuning for most instruments with a simple flip. Clip it on, flip up the display and the FT-2 powers-on. Flip it back down after you're done tuning to shut it off. The large, high-contrast, backlit display is easy to read and shows pitch with ±1 cent accuracy via tuning needles and a multi-color backlight.

It is also incredibly lightweight, weighing only 21 grams, so it won't affect your instruments tone. When flipped down to the off position, its very low profile, so you can leave it in place while you're playing and the soft clip is safe on most finishes.

The FT-2 Digital Chromatic Clip-on Tuner by Fishman is very small and unobtrusive. The entire window lights up green when the string pitch is in tune, so it's still easy to see despite the small size. The responsiveness is a little slow. Attach it to the very top of the headstock and flip it up to turn it on.

.I just play for personal pleasure and used a tuner on my iphone. This is far better and quicker to use, especially if you are setting down to play with others and need to check your tuning quickly. For some reason it doesn't work as well on my Yamaha SJ180 as it does on my Taylor. That's fine since the Taylor gets played the most. I am assuming it has something to do with the way the vibrations resonate through the head of the instrument.

.I'm just starting with an inexpensive guitar, so I shopped for inexpensive accessories. This fit the bill. I'm sort of color blind. Can't tell orange from green. But when the string is in tune, the whole screen turns green. I can see that. I like that it turns off when you fold it down. Seems easy to use.

.This tuner is far, far, far superior to the Korg PC1 which I mistakenly purchased prior to purchasing this unit. The Fishman quickly and accurately registers pitch, and the display is very intuitive and precise. Easy to use and very accurate and reliable. Very highly recommended!

.I tried to save money on buying this, low cost, but it does not give an accurate tune. It's hard to pine-point, fluctuates. Spend a bit more and get oa better one.

.The only reason I didn't rate it a 5 is that I've only had it a month and the durability of these ultra compact tuners has not been good in the past. It's easy to use, inexpensive, and does the job. We'll see if it lasts. I also bought a Korg PC1 and the Fishman is superior. It has the fold down shut off which is nice, no button pushing required.
