I ordered this pickup to replace the battery powered pickup that came with my Tacoma Chief many years ago. The first pickup I received had an intermittent connection at the pickup. I spent hours chasing down the problem. I returned it to Custom Guitars Friend with no hassles, received a replacement part in a few days and had this one installed in no time. Installation was easy. The sound is better than before and I no longer have to worry about batteries.

.I needed to replace a Fishman battery powered under the saddle pickup that quit working after about 13 years after installing it in my Martin DM. It was difficult to get to the battery through the sound hole and I wanted a passive pickup that would always work without worrying about the condition of my battery. This passive under the saddle pickup installed easily and sounds as good as the battery powered one no longer made. I play guitar in church at family gatherings and in small venues where instrument sound needs to be amplified.
