This is a very nice, portable acoustic amp/pa with great sound. I was looking for something with good sound that would be more portable than my old Fender Passport 250. The loudbox line seemed to have invariabily glowing reviews. I really didn't need the accessories that came with the Songwriter Pack, but it was priced below the amp alone so it was the better value.

The amp is attractive, and the knobs and buttons feel solid. The vocal sound using a Shure SM58A mic is very clear. The ability to mix the effects in varying amounts makes them useful. I was able to get a good acoustic sound with a Martin DRS2, although I generally would prefer a mic'd guitar. The amp was plenty loud with the master volume at 11:00 in a 16' x 28' room (mic input at about 11:00 and guitar input at 9:00).

The accessories are a nice addition. The cable seems to be quiet. I tried to A/B the AT mic with several others and while it didn't seem to have the clarity of the aforementioned Shure, it really was fine - I would be ok using it if better options weren't available.

I would highly recommend this for a single person act, such as guitar and vocals. I am very impressed with the vocal sound. I don't know what the headroom on volume is, but there seems to be enough power for many applications.
