Product Description
The FJX730SC Solid Spruce Top Rosewood Acoustic-Electric Guitar has a medium jumbo body with an A.R.T. (Acoustic Resonance Transducer) 1-way pickup system (System56) that faithfully reproduces the dynamic sound produced by its medium jumbo body. Onboard electronics include a chromatic auto tuner and 3-band equalizer. This medium jumbo-bodied acoustic guitar delivers a sound with well-defined bass, wide dynamic range, and excellent response. The FJX730SC features non-scalloped X-bracing and a reverse L-block neck attachment.
A.R.T. technology uses unique multilayer structuring and achieves optimum dynamic balance. acoustic-electric guitars have consistently used piezoelectric pickups to reproduce the pure sounds of the acoustic guitar. But piezoelectric pickups tended to overreact to changes in attack, which, in turn, caused distortion. To achieve ideal playability, improved the way the dynamics were controlled on the FJX730SC acoustic electric.
The guitar pickup was designed with a multilayer structure consisting of six layers of different materials. This dampens excessive vibration from the top board while picking up small resonances to achieve ideal sensitivity and outstanding dynamic balance. Also, because the pickup is fitted directly beneath the top board, it functions as a transducer attached to the guitar body. In addition to two main pickups mounted under the saddle, this system has one each on the bass and treble sides to capture the vibrations of the entire length of the strings and body, as well as the sound's bass and treble components. The guitar's pickups are laid out in such a way as to achieve clear reproduction even during high-position soloing.
The A.R.T. preamp system's 1-way configuration features one main pickup system consisting of two pickups underneath the saddle. The 3-band equalizer gives the ability to control the mid-range for versatile sound creation. The system is also equipped with an onboard tuner. The body's non-scallop, X-type bracing design delivers deep lows full of presence that are unique to the sound, and a clear upper end, making a clear and tight response. The FJX730SC's head design includes real mother-of-pearl inlay on the headstock and adds a touch of class not found often in this price range.
's original L-block neck design offers faster transfer of string vibration to the acoustic electric guitar's body for greater depth and tone while enhancing stability around the neck joint. The large bridge offers greater transfer of string vibration to the body producing a tight and clear mid-range with full, balanced tone. Smooth lines and edges keep the playing surface unencumbered. Case sold separately.

I received my FJX730SC about two weeks ago. Very well packed for shipment. Pro's***Gorgeous finish(brown sun burst)A.R.T. 1-way Pickup System (System56CB) very similar to the expression system on a Taylor. Top: solid spruce is very responsive and reactive to agressive strum fingerstyle or flatpicking. Back: rosewood ..gorgeous finish ..the smell and look of genuine rosewood not bad for laminate. Side/rib: rosewood..Neck: nato..the neck was the only real issue I had with this guitar...string heighth was high..guitar tuned relatively easy and stayed in tune..I removed the strings and replaced with Dean Alchemy phos/gold light gauge..tightened the truss rod about a 1/2 turn..replaced plastic bridge saddle with a mammoth ivory saddle./and now own a very responsive well appointed guitar that easily compares to any Taylor, Gibson, or Martin in sound plugged in(I use a small 100 watt Peavey PA system) or unplugged...simply amazing. Down side is that does not supply a hard case. I recommend a Silver Creek Vintage Archtop 000 Auditorium Acoustic Guitar Case. Even though this guitar is listed as a mini jumbo...the silver creek case is perfect. Finger board: rosewood...I had to dress the frets as they were a little sharp on the edges..I found Ibaneze acoustics to be better than
Bought the solid spruce top FJX730SC but it was not what I expected it to be. The strings tension is high and a bit hard to play. Sound doesn't resonate very well. Tuner is not very accurate although it does the job. I guess my expectations were high for brand. Sorry, I didn't like it very much.
.I recently purchased this guitar and it is "very" nice. It is very easy to play, has a nice sound, and the electronics work very well. I replaced the strings with D'Adario 11-52 Phosphor Bronze, which suit it very well. My test for a good acoustic is how well it rings out when playing a full EM or G chord and this one does quite well. It is not quite as loud as my Martin HD-28 but that is a feat that most guitars do not accomplish. It is everything you need without making any modifications. If you want a quality guitar at a medium level price tag, this one will satisfy.
.I use it mostly as acoustic without amp. Very good sound with solid spruce top and rosewood sides/back. Be ready for large guitar as that's what this is. Projects sound extremely well and the bass is as solid and bright as the mids and highs. Pick-up systems works very well picking up the string and body tones.
