My school in Colorado has a small sound system that consists of a Behringer sound board, 2 Crown amps, 2 stage monitors, and 2 main speakers. I am personally in charge of maintaining and operating the system, when it comes to monitors, we need precise tone for our actors on stage. So, we purchased 2 SM10V stage monitors. These things are amazing. They have so much power that we could use them as main speakers and they could still do well. The quality of the speakers is amazing, they sound precise and NEVER cut in and out. I am completely amazed by these speakers and I would recomend them as monitors for any venue.

.Our band has 2 of these and 2 JRX12M montors. We've been using them for a couple years, so if you're comparing the 2, here is my take:
- SM10V are a little more compact.
- handle location is better on the SM10V (on the side instead of on the end).
- The JRX12Ms are much louder per watt. Like twice as loud.
- The JRX12Ms have more full range sound, especially on the high end. A good EQ might fix that problem.
- build quality seems comperable between the 2.

Between the JRX12M and SM10V, I'd pick the JBLs. Maybe the SM12V would be a better matchup...
