The Banshee Elite Series features a swamp ash body with a flamed maple top, nine-piece maple/walnut neck with an ebony fingerboard, 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets, mother-of-pearl offset/reverse dot inlays with brass circles, and a neck-thru construction with ultra access for seamless playability and easy access to the higher frets. The Banshee Elite is offered in 6-, 7-, and 8-string options and also offers the choice of a Hipshot Hardtail Bridge, or the Schecter Exclusive Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge which features stainless steel parts, new push-in arm, and knife points that are re-tooled for better tuning and smoother tremolo play.

One of the coolest features is that the Banshee Elite comes loaded with Schecter's own handmade USA SuperCharger pickups with an option of a Sustainiac in the neck position (Sustainiac offered only in 6- and 7-string models). Great guitar, really pleased with it. Build quality equal to an Ibanez prestige. The neck is sick, awesome feel and solid fret job. Factory setup was great. Really pleased with the Schecter USA pickup in the bridge. nice medium-high output with great articulation with high gain. I prefer this model over the JL7, KM7 or Hellraiser.

.I bought this Banshee after purchasing the almost identical setup of the Hellraiser 7-string 2 years. I am taking his one to work so I can practice at lunch. I love the Sustainiac pickup for its artificial harmonics. The maple top is beautiful and the back of the guitar is a matte black. It comes set up with heavier strings. I personally use super ultra light for lead guitar. And I also set the action much lower by tightening the hex screws on the Floyd Rose bridge. The neck is nice and straight and you can go around an 1/8 inch without buzz.
