This is a high quality surge protector !!!
SOOOOO! many times in my life I had made the mistake of bringing my expensive guitar and high quality amplifier to gigs, only to have to plug my amp into someone's el-cheapo gang box, which would short my amplifier on power, ( volts or amps ) I'm not sure, but I know my amp didn't perform like it would when plugged into it's own power supply !!! So a high quality surge protector is as important as any piece of musical equipment you may buy !!!

.This seems like the same model sold under other (trusted) names. That said, I like having the option to buy fender branding. Works fine out of the box; no discernible sound difference but that's not really it's function.
