I bought my Fender CD100 12-string acoustic just for the sake of having a 12-string. I use this guitar strictly for casual, "bedroom" playing. It's affordable enough that you can pick one up just for the fun of it. It sounds beautiful and plays well.If you're recording or performing, you might consider making a more substantial investment. But for casual use, the CD100 does a nice job.Note that this is a pure acoustic - no pickup or electronics of any kind.

.always wanted to have a 12 string but never been able to justify buying. Got this even cheaper as one of the gently used deals on thus site. could not tell. guitar is immaculate. sound is nice and big. most impressed with set up. action is really good, very playable out of the box. i would definately recommend this to the home musician. my wife would like me to stop playing stairway to heaven now.....but it sounds so good!

.I was a little bit skeptical when i bought this guitar but im really glad i did. It showed up right on time, was almost completely playable right out of the box ( minus needing to be tuned of course .) ive only had it for about a week now but im already in love. Its got a good full sound to it, holds a tuning well, and is well worth the money. I would highly recommend this guitar for someone whos looking to buy their first 12 string or their 1 thousandth.

.love this guitar, will be switiching out regularly on stage with my Epiphone EJ200.
i give it a 9 because no guitar is perfect. i bought a Fender CD-100 12 brand new at a local guitar shop in Bossier City, LA. I played on it during a few visits, fell in love with it and now she's mine!! i had an old lr baggs M1 sitting around and had it installed, sounds amazing, will eventually do away with the soundhole pickup and do an undersaddle, but for now it works and sounds great!
simple but excellent in everyway, i love Fender's necks on there guitars!! don't let the price fool ya, this guitar is excellent!!

.This guitar will surprise you with its sound projection, and its really well and cleanly built, but it is a "plywood plunker" so don't expect a solid wood Martin or Taylor! I played a few of the other comparable priced brands (Washburn, Epiphone,etc.) but this one won out! I wanted a 12 string to "mess with", and this one fills the bill ,without causing a big one! (I got the Fender hard case for it too, why not?) Its actually a lot of fun to play! Great Fender "feel" but those extra 6 strings will let you know they are there with the effort needed to play it! Buy it for the "fun factor", you won't be disappointed, and who knows, you might just want to lay out the serious bread for a more refined/expensive guitar later after you hear the sonic power a 12 string can have! (MF has some real beauty's) Bottom line! This one,for sure, is worth the money!!!

.This is a decent lower priced 12 string.

It is fun to play, and has a full sound.

The low end is somewhat lacking, and can sound somewhat tinny or flat at times.

Tuning is always a chore, when you need to make adjustments. When it is in tune, it usually will hold tuning for awhile.

If you're looking for a 12-string to practice and just have fun with, this is a great instrument to try. It is somewhat lacking in tone depth for professional use, in my opinion. For an instrument in this price range - you are getting much more of an instrument than what you'd expect.
