Before using coated strings I loved Martin SP strings. They were the best on my Martin D35 for playing and recording.
I used other brands of coated strings on custom guitars for many years. The main problem was they were slippery.
When Martin came out with coated SP strings I switched and never turned back. I get a firm grip and get the best tone ever.
You will never find better strings in my opinion. I write with these strings. I give concerts with these strings and I ALWAYS record with these strings.
This set was used for HIGH tunings. 2 sets in one package.
I've use Custom Guitars Friend since the first month they opened in Medford Oregon. BEST company to use for online shopping.

These strings are the best that I have found in my 22 years of playing 12-string acoustic guitars. The coating definitely helps with preserving the "new string" sound and slows corrosion, even after a month of frequent playing. Other strings show visible signs of deterioration after just a week or so of playing.

I own two 12-string acoustic guitars. These strings sound great on my Seagull which is used primarily for practicing and for "unplugged" settings. I am about to install a set of these strings on my Martin D12-1 which I use "plugged-in" with a band twice a week.

.I'm 64 years old. I've played professional, but these days I'm just happy to wake up lol. I chose these strings because I've used them before and they're great. I don't play my 12 string as often as my 6 string, so I don't want to have to change 12 strings every other week. These strings last.
