CTS 300K Linear 500K Audio Taper Long Shaft Pots Set of 4

This is a brand new set of CTS long shaft pots for those looking to replace their stock Gibson setup with CTS. Includes 2 300K linear taper pots and 2 500K audio taper pots. These are for production Les Paul-type guitars with thicker carved tops, these will not fit Gibson Historic Les Pauls. These work on tons of different guitars, typically with humbucker and P90 pickups. The hole size requirement for the pots are 3/8", the split shaft are fine knurled for US spec knobs, the threaded portion of the shaft is 3/4" (otherwise known as "long shaft"), which works for solid bodies with thick carved tops.   The pots will be +/- 15% from rating, but for this set that's not terribly important - the 4 pots are already rated a minimum of 200K apart so any "matching" exercise is pointless. That's not what a setup like this is for.

The purpose of this set is to soften the high end by lowering and widening the resonance peak of the pickups, this is done using two 300K pots vs. using all four 500K pots. Using the 300K pots for the volume controls will mimic the stock setup on most production Gibsons, and will tame the high end on particularly bright pickups/guitars. Using the 500K for volumes will do the same only less so (compared to 4 500k pots), and is for those who have a 300K/500K setup but wish to brighten up the tone a little vs. going all in for 4 500K pots.

These are the de-facto standard in guitar pots, best quality out there. For guitars with cheap, import pots, this is a must-have upgrade. As with most upgrades, it's the simple stuff that has the most impact, and this is no exception. Won't be disappointed.
